How to Grocery Shop in Today’s Supermarket (Food Education 101)
This seminar is designed to give you all the information you need to make the best food choices at the supermarket, and that means deciphering from among an overwhelming number of options and buzzwords that line the shelves. Today’s well-informed shoppers need to understand the true meaning of keywords like local, organic, sustainable, grass-fed, antibiotic-free, humanely-raised, wild, non-GMO, and extra-virgin. They all tell a much clearer story about the food we eat than its packaging. We'll cover how to shop for the best-quality vegetables, fruits, meats, dairy/eggs, cooking fats, shelf-stable items, and how to properly read a food label. Come with all the food questions you've been storing up!
